Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by JK Rowling (2000):

There is no one on earth haven’t heard of Harry Potter. This one starts during the summer holiday and harry potter starts his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  There are new spells to learn a Quidditch to play. But as always harry is facing a new danger that he didn’t expect. Hermione Granger strives through the books as not just a clever girl, but as a girl with passion and determination.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (2012):

The main character in a gone girl is Nick Dunne. This is a popular novel written by Gillian Flynn. On the day of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne returns to his home in North Carthage, Missouri only to find his wife Amy missing. Nick was the suspect in his wife’s disappearance, as there were signs of struggle in the house. Nick unexpectedly lies, keeps secrets, and acts inappropriately, but he tries hard to maintain his innocence. Gone Girl is full of suspense from the beginning until the end. It haunts the readers with very dark characters, presented through their scary thoughts. It is definitely an irresistible thriller with plot twists here and there that will make it hard to put down.

A VISIT FROM THE GOON SQUAD, by JENNIFER EGAN (2010):

Jennifer Egan’s “A Visit from the Goon Squad” is a lively novel in stories about Sasha, an assistant in the music business, and her boss, Bennie Salazar. The novel starts with Sasha, a 35-year-old with sticky fingers. She’s extremely competent at her job. Her only thrill comes from stealing. She doesn’t profit from it, she takes a wallet, a child’s scarf, and a seashell as relics. She knows that what she is doing is wrong so she goes to therapy in order to get better. Bennie Salazar is also in trouble. He’s been dumped by his wife, can’t seem to communicate with his son, and, worst of all, has fallen out of sync with the music business. Bennie and Sasha’s intersecting paths are illuminated by the subsequent chapters. Each chapter is told from a different character’s point of view. Sasha and Bennie are pushed to the margins. Sometimes they’re not even present. One chapter, set in Africa, focuses on the adolescent son of Bennie’s musical mentor Lou, years before Bennie was in the picture.  Another follows a disgraced publicist who used to employ Bennie’s ex-wife, while a college friend of Sasha’s narrates a third. this sound annoying, right? However, these characters move so fully into center stage. Given voice, they become the main players. Even as they bend away from Sasha and Bennie, these stories draw the reader in.

Among the best classic literature books to read is The Great Gatsby:

Nick Carraway, a young man from Minnesota, moves to New York in the summer of 1922 to learn about the bond business. As He rents a house in the West Egg district of Long Island. Which is a wealthy but unfashionable area populated by the new rich. Which is, a group who have made their fortunes too recently to have established social connections and who are prone to garish displays of wealth. Nick’s next-door neighbor in West Egg is a mysterious man named Jay Gatsby, who lives in a gigantic Gothic mansion. Additionally, he throws extravagant parties every Saturday night. Nick is unlike the other people of West Egg; he was educated at Yale and has social connections in East Egg. Which is a fashionable area of Long Island home to the established upper class. Nick drives out to East Egg one evening for dinner with his cousin, Daisy Buchanan, and her husband, Tom, an erstwhile classmate of Nick’s at Yale. Daisy and Tom introduce Nick to Jordan Baker, a beautiful, cynical young woman with whom Nick begins a romantic relationship. Nick also learns a bit about Daisy and Tom’s marriage: Jordan tells him that Tom has a lover, Myrtle Wilson. Who lives in the valley of ashes, a gray industrial dumping ground between West Egg and New York City. That one is among the best books that you could ever read.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the best classic books:

One of the best old books to read is To Kill a Mockingbird. The story is about Scout Finch that lives with her brother, Jem, and their widowed father, Atticus in the sleepy Alabama town of Maycomb. Maycomb is suffering through the Great Depression, but Atticus is a prominent lawyer and the Finch family is reasonably well off in comparison to the rest of society. One summer, Jem and Scout befriend a boy named Dill, who has come to live in their neighborhood for the summer, and the trio acts out stories together. Eventually, Dill becomes fascinated with the spooky house on their street called the Radley Place. The house is owned by Mr. Nathan Radley, whose brother, Arthur, has lived there for years without venturing outside. She and Jem find gifts apparently left for them in a knothole of a tree on the Radley property. Dill returns the following summer, and he, Scout, and Jem begin to act out the story of Boo Radley. Atticus puts a stop to their antics, urging the children to try to see life from another person’s perspective before making judgments. But, on Dill’s last night in Maycomb for the summer, the three sneak onto the Radley property, where Nathan Radley shoots at them.
