The Holy Qur’an, translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, is the sacred book of Islam. In the book of the holy Qur’an, there are the worlds of Allah. Allah orally revealed this holy Qur’an to the final Prophet of the Muslim, Hazrat Muhammad (SM), through the angel Jibril, incrementally over a period of 23 years, that began when Prophet Muhammad (SM) was 40 years old, and concluded with year of his Death. According to tradition, several companions of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) served as scribes and recorded the revelation during the lifetime of the Prophet (SM). Shortly, after his death, the companions who had written down and memorized the parts of it, compiled the Quran in written form. The first caliph, Abu Bakar made the first full compilation of the Holy Qur’an, and then the third Caliph Uthman recompiled it in the original dialect after the best reciters died in battle. Muslims believes that the truth of the holy Qur’an are authentically and fully revealed only in the original classical Arabic. However, as the influence of Islam spread and grows to the modern world, it is now recognized that the translation is also an important element in explaining and introducing Islam to a wider audience of the world. This translated version of the holy Qur’an, by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, is considered to be the most faithful rendering that is available in English.
