An Oasis of Love: Stories of My Children --

My grandchildren gathered around me to listen to me tell them about the life of the Prophet Muhammadﷺ. I noticed that Sarah looked sad. "What's the matter, My Love?" I asked her. She replied, "Nothing." I gently responded to her, "I can see clearly that there is something wrong, so don't try to hide it and disburden your heart by telling me what's on your mind--talk to me until you feel better."  "I have a friend at school who is bullying me. Whenever the teacher praises me or I get a good grade, she calls me a cheater and a hypocrite. She sarcastically tells the other girls, 'Come on, let's not talk to the teacher's pet and genius!'"

I told her, "She is jealous of you. And jealousy is a disease of the heart. May God cure her from this."

I turned to the rest of my grandchildren and said, "Come, let us soothe ourselves with stories of the Prophetﷺ." The grandchildren shouted, "Yes! Grandma, we can't wait!" واحةُ حبٍّ ... حكايات لأحفادي اجتمعَ الأحفادُ وبَدؤوا يتهيَّؤونَ للحديثِ عن محمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم.. لاحظْتُ الوجومَ على وجْهِ سارة.. فقلتُ: ما الأَمرُ يا حَبيبتي؟ أَطرقَتْ قائِلة: لا شيء. قلتُ بتودُّد: كلُّ هذا الذُّبولِ من أجلِ لا شيء؟ هيَّا أخرجي الهمَّ من قلبكِ حتَّى ترتاحي..! - لديَّ رفيقَةٌ في المدرسةِ تُزعجُني كلَّما مَدَحتْني معلِّمةٌ أو حَصلتُ على علامَةٍ جيِّدة، انْطلقَتْ تتَّهِمُني بالغِشِّ والنِّفاقِ للمعَلِّمة، وهيَ لا تَفْتأُ تسْخرُ منِّي وتقولُ للبنات: لا تتحدَّثوا مع العبقَريَّة، حَبيبةِ قلبِ المعلِّمات.. وسَكتَتْ لاهثةً تلتقطُ دُموعَها.. ضمَمْتُها إلى صَدْري قائِلة: - لا بأسَ عليكِ حَبيبتي! إنَّها تغارُ منكِ.. عَافاها اللهُ من هذا الدَّاءِ.. تعالَي نُداوِ قُلوبَنا بأَخبارِ الحبيبِ المصْطَفى ?. هتفَ الصِّغار: هيَّا جدَّتي! نحنُ مُستَعدُّون!
