ICO Learn Arabic Workbook Level 7, Part 2

This is the seventh-grade workbook and complements the student textbook in this series.

Objective:

This workbook aims to apply what the student studies in the textbook in greater depth. It also enhances and fulfills linguistic skills the student has already learned, focusing on reading skills to ensure that the student has the ability to learn new vocabulary words, use them, and employ them in expressing his feelings towards daily events while applying grammar in writing, reading and speaking.
Each of the sixteen units in the student’s textbook is accompanied by another one in the activity book in order to reinforce the goals of the exercises in the workbook.

The Book Design:

As a complement to the textbook, it parallels its design and layout. It consists of 16 units, including revision, divided into eight sections for each semester. Each unit contains exercises on the different skills as enrichment for the skills in the student textbook. The revision units aim to achieve the three units’ goals, which precede it through conversation, reading, writing, understanding and comprehension.

The Proposed Duration for the Material:

In accordance to what was mentioned in the curriculum’s document, as both books are integrated and revision units are enrichment for the content, each unit will run the duration of eight classes in two weeks, assuming there are four Arabic classes per week. The revision unit, which follows each three main units, will have four classes a week, each class running for 45 minutes. Consequently, the 12 main units last 96 classes throughout the two semesters and the 4 revision units last for 16 classes through the two semesters.

However, both books last 112 classes through two semesters excluding the hours for mid and final exams. The more days in school, the more the teacher will be able to fit the classes needed to keep up with students’ abilities. In addition, it takes into account students’ contrastive levels.

The Book Content:

The book concentrates on several worldly issues. A good example of this is illicit gain and nature pollution, explanations of Muslim knowledge of astronomy, the harms of drug addiction, and also the usefulness of the internet around us.

تعريف بكتاب النشاط

هذا هو كتاب النشاط للصف السابع، و هو مكمل لما يدرسه الطالب في كتاب الطالب للصف السابع من كتب هذه السلسلة.

هدف الكتاب:

يهدف كتاب النشاط الى تعميق و تطبيق ما درسه الطالب في كتاب الطالب، و تعزيز و استكمال ما اكتسبه من المهارات و العناصر اللغوية، و هو يوجه اهمية خاصة الى تعميق التدريب على القراءة، و التاكد من قدرة الطالب في تمثل معاني المفردات الجديدة، و المهارة في استحضارها وفق المواقف الحياتية، و من ثم توظيفها بالتعبير عن مشاعره ازاء الاحداث اليومية التي يعيشها الطالب، و كذلك توظيف القواعد النحوية في ضبط القراءة و الحديث.

و كل وحدة من وحدات كتاب الطالب الست عشر، تقابلها وحدة من كتاب النشاط؛ بغية تحقيق اهداف التدريبات الواردة في كتاب النشاط في تعميق و تعزيز ما ورد في كتاب الطالب.

تصميم الكتاب:

ما دام كتاب النشاط مكملا لكتاب الطالب، فهو يحاكيه في هيكله، من حيث اشتماله على ست عشرة وحدة تعليمية، و من ضمنها وحدات المراجعة. تقدم ثماني وحدات منها في الفصل الدراسي الاول، و تستكمل بقية الوحدات في الفصل الثاني. و كل وحدة تتضمن تدريبات في مختلف المهارات تستكمل التدريبات الواردة في كتاب الطالب بهدف تحقيق و تعزيز المهارات المعالجة في كتاب الطالب. و تهدف وحدات المراجعة الى تحقيق مجمل اهداف الوحدات الثلاث التي تتقدمها من خلال تحقيق اهداف المحادثة و القراءة و الكتابة و الفهم و الاستيعاب.

الزمن المقترح لتدريس الكتاب:

بما ان كتاب النشاط مكمل لكتاب الطالب، و المراجعة في كليهما تعميق و تعزيز لما ورد فيهما، فإن الوحدة الاساسية الواحدة في كل من كتابي الطالب و النشاط تنفذ في ثماني حصص دراسية خلال اسبوعين، على افتراض أن عدد حصص اللغة العربية في الاسبوع أربع حصص، كما يخصص لوحدة المراجعة التي تلي الوحدات الثلاثة الاساسية أربع حصص خلال أسبوع واحد، و تكون الحصة الواحدة في حدود خمس و اربعون دقيقة. و بذلك فإن الاثنتي عشرة وحدة الاساسية تحتاج الى ست و تسعية حصة دراسية خلال فصلي العام الدراسي، على حين تنفذ وحدات المراجعة الاربع خلال ست عشرة حصة دراسي خلال فصلي العام الدراسي.

و هكذا، فإن كتابي الطالب و النشاط معا يحتاجان الى نحو مائة و اثنتي عشرة حصة دراسية خلال فصلي العام الدراسي، عدا الساعات الخاصة بالتقويم المستمر و التقويم الختامي، و هذا بحسب ما ورد في وثيقة المنهج. و كلما كان عدد الحصص اكثر في المدرسة كان المدرس أقدر على التكيف في عدد الحصص الدراسية اللازمة اتنفيذ الوحدة بما يتناسب مع قدرات طلابه، الى جانب امكانات مراعاة الفروق الفردية في المستويات بين الطلاب.
