FAMILY LIFE IN ISLAM In an age when the institution of family is being undermined by powerful and destructive forces, the family in the world of Islam continues to flourish vigorously. There has been no dearth of threats and challenges from within and without, but the record of the Muslim family remains as unique today as it has been in the past. It demonstrates a built-in capacity, not only to survive, but to thrive and vivify. Is this an accident of social history or is there something unique in the basis and structure of the family in Islam? This booklet tries to explain the concept of marriage and family in Islam and their position in the structure of Islamic faith and culture.
