Arabic is an ancient language spoken by approximately 480 million people inside and outside the Arab countries and has a wide culture and civilization. Arabic is one of the international languages with international presence, and the reason for learning this language by non-native speakers is due to several reasons which include: political, diplomatic, economic, religious, cultural, educational, touristic, and communicative. All of these are subjective motives that motivate non-Arab people and intellectuals to learn the language and learn about the diverse Arab culture, thought, and heritage.

Why Should You Learn Arabic?

Several factors emphasize the importance of learning Arabic :

1. Arabic and Islamic faith:

The relationship between the Arabic language and Islamic law is strong and eternal, and if this is the only reason for learning the language, it would be a sufficient reason. The Arabic language is the language that Allah Almighty chose to reveal the Quran in and the lack of understanding of the verses or lack of awareness of the correct meanings of the verses creates misunderstanding or misinterpretations of the text. Scholars believe that Arabic is an integral part of the Islamic religion, and they are right to do so.

2. Proficiency in communication:

Languages  primarily are a tool to help people communicate with each other. They are one of the most important means by which we can understand others. For the Arab-Islamic countries, the official language is Arabic, that is: the language of education, the language of the media, and the language of official communication.

3. Preserving Arab Identity:

Language is one of the fundamental factors forming the distinctive features of the identity of societies and countries. Therefore, the Arabic language is one of the main pillars that constitutes the identity of the countries of the Islamic world. 4. Arab Nationalism:

The Arabic language is also one of the foundations on which the desired Arab nationalism is established. It is one of the common factors which brings together the people of the Arab nation, manifestations of their unity and shared interests and objectives.
