Noor Al Islam: Level 5
By Madinah Media
This book has five educational units, each containing three integrated lessons designed to reinforce the core principles of Islam. The lessons cover topics in ‘Aqidah (creed), Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (acts of worship), Seerah (the Prophet’s biography), and Islamic Adab (manners), all presented in an engaging style appropriate for the intended educational level. The topics covered are:
⦁ ‘Aqidah (Creed): Learners explore the beautiful names and attributes of Allah ﷻ, such as Al-Wāḥid (The One), Al-Qahhār (The Compeller), Al-Ḥamīd (The Praiseworthy), and Al-Wāsi‘ Al-‘Alīm (The Vast, All-Knowing). These lessons deepen Tawheed, instill awe of Allah, and develop a sense of trust and reliance on His divine wisdom.
⦁ Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (Acts of Worship): This section introduces learners to the core practices of Islam—fasting, zakah, charity, Hajj, and ‘Umrah—explained in a simple and practical manner. These lessons nurture religious observance and encourage learners to reflect on the spiritual and social impact of worship.
⦁ Qur’an: Learners study selected verses from Surahs in Juz’ Tabarak and Juz’ Mujadalah, along with its simplified tafsir. Surat Al-Insan reminds learners of divine blessings of revealing the Qur’an, while Surat Al-Jumu‘ah emphasizes glorifying Allah and applying knowledge in life. These lessons promote a reflective and connected approach to the Qur’an.
⦁ Hadith: The Hadith section presents authentic narrations that focus on essential values, including the rights of Muslims upon one another, the virtue of good manners, and comprehensive supplications. These Ahadith contribute to moral development and guide learners in practicing Islamic values in everyday life.
⦁ Seerah (Prophet Biography): Through storytelling, learners explore key events such as the Battle of the Trench, the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and the Farewell Pilgrimage. These stories teach patience, wisdom, mercy, and highlight the Prophet’s ﷺ leadership and compassion.
Each lesson concludes with a simple assessment designed to measure comprehension, encourage critical thinking, and promote practical application through carefully selected questions and activities. In addition, each unit ends with an educational Islamic story—drawn from the Seerah or Islamic history—that embodies one of the key Islamic values, reinforcing the concepts in the learner’s mind through a purposeful narrative approach.
