Noor Al Islam: Level 3
By Madinah Media
This book has five educational units, each containing three integrated lessons designed to reinforce the core principles of Islam. The lessons cover topics in ‘Aqidah (creed), Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (acts of worship), Seerah (the Prophet’s biography), and Islamic Adab (manners), all presented in an engaging style appropriate for the intended educational level. The topics covered are:
⦁ ‘Aqidah (Creed): Learners explore the pillars of Iman (faith), affirming Tawheed (the oneness of Allah), belief in the angels, divine Books, and messengers. These lessons nurture love for Allah ﷻ, deepen trust in His wisdom, and cultivate sound Islamic belief.
⦁ Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (Acts of Worship): This section introduces acts of worship in a practical, accessible manner. Topics include the Sunnahs and nullifiers of Wudu (ablution), rulings related to Jumu‘ah (Friday prayer), the importance of Zakah (charity), the etiquettes of making Duaa (supplication), and Istidhān (seeking permission). The aim is to instill spiritual discipline and integrate acts of worship into everyday life.
⦁ Qur’an: Learners engage with selected Surahs from Juz’ ‘Amma—such as Al-Ma‘un, Al-‘Asr, Al-Qadr, At-Tin, and Ad-Duha—through simplified Tafsir. Emphasis is placed on extracting moral and behavioral lessons from the verses, encouraging a meaningful connection with the Qur’an.
⦁ Hadith: A curated selection of authentic Prophet acts introduces learners to Islamic values such as generosity, honesty, cooperation, and reliance on Allah. These Hadiths provide practical guidance and help shape virtuous character based on the Sunnah.
⦁ Seerah (Biography of the Prophet): Highlighted through engaging narratives, this section presents key moments from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, including the migration to Abyssinia, the Pledge of Aqabah, and preparations for Hijrah to Medina. These lessons cultivate traits like patience, leadership, and trust in Allah.
Each lesson concludes with a simple assessment designed to measure comprehension, encourage critical thinking, and promote practical application through carefully selected questions and activities. In addition, each unit ends with an educational Islamic story—drawn from the Seerah or Islamic history—that embodies one of the key Islamic values, reinforcing the concepts in the learner’s mind through a purposeful narrative approach.
