Noor Al Islam: Level 2
By Madinah Media
This book has five educational units, each containing three integrated lessons designed to reinforce the core principles of Islam. The lessons cover topics in ‘Aqidah (creed), Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (acts of worship), Seerah (the Prophet’s biography), and Islamic Adab (manners), all presented in an engaging style appropriate for the intended educational level. The topics covered are:
⦁ ‘Aqidah (Creed): Learners explore the pillars of Iman (faith) through lessons that affirm Tawheed (the oneness of Allah), belief in the angels, the divine Books, and the messengers. These teachings cultivate a sincere relationship with Allah ﷻ, foster trust in His wisdom, and nurture sound Islamic belief.
⦁ Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (Acts of Worship): This section introduces learners to acts of worship in a practical and accessible manner, including the proper way to perform Salah (prayer), recite related Adhkar (supplications), and observe the etiquettes of worship. These lessons aim to instill a sense of spiritual discipline and encourage the integration of worship into daily life.
⦁ Qur’an: Learners engage with selected Surahs from Juz’ ‘Amma through simplified Tafsir, emphasizing the ethical and moral guidance found in the Qur’an. This approach deepens their understanding of Allah’s words and supports the application of Qur’anic values in behavior and thought.
⦁ Hadith: A carefully chosen set of authentic Ahadith introduces learners to core Islamic values such as brotherhood, cooperation, honesty, and Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). These teachings contribute to shaping well-grounded Muslim character and inspire moral action in everyday life.
⦁ Seerah: Presented through engaging storytelling, this section highlights key moments from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Makkah, including the phases of secret and public Da‘wah (invitation to Islam). It also features lessons from the lives of the noble Sahabah (Companions), reinforcing qualities such as patience, resilience, and responsibility.
Each lesson concludes with a simple assessment designed to measure comprehension, encourage critical thinking, and promote practical application through carefully selected questions and activities. In addition, each unit ends with an educational Islamic story—drawn from the Seerah or Islamic history—that embodies one of the key Islamic values, reinforcing the concepts in the learner’s mind through a purposeful narrative approach.
