Noor Al Islam: Level 1
By Madinah Media
This book has five educational units, each containing three integrated lessons designed to reinforce the core principles of Islam. The lessons cover topics in ‘Aqidah (creed), Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (acts of worship), Seerah (the Prophet’s biography), and Islamic Adab (manners), all presented in an engaging style appropriate for the intended educational level. The topics covered are:
⦁ ‘Aqidah (Creed): Learners study the pillars of Iman (faith), with lessons that emphasize the oneness of Allah (Tawheed), belief in the angels, the revealed books, and the messengers. These teachings foster sincere Iman and deepen the learner’s trust in Allah ﷻ.
⦁ Fiqh and ‘Ibadah (Acts of Worship): Students explore the pillars of Iman (faith), with particular emphasis on Tawheed (the oneness of Allah), belief in the angels, the revealed books, and the messengers. These lessons aim to nurture sincere faith and depen the learner’s reliance on Allah ﷻ.
⦁ Qur’an: This section offers selected Surahs from Juz’ ‘Amma along with its simplified Tafsir, focusing on the moral and spiritual lessons learned from the verses. This helps strengthen the learner’s understanding of the Qur’an and supports applying its teachings in daily conduct.
⦁ Hadith: A carefully selected authentic Ahadith is presented to instill key Islamic values such as brotherhood, cooperation, honesty, and reliance on Allah (Tawakkul). These teachings contribute to shaping a balanced and upright Muslim character.
⦁ Seerah: This section recounts significant events from the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Makkah, including both the secret and public phases of Da‘wah (inviting others to Islam). The lessons also highlight the exemplary conduct of the noble Sahabah, instilling values such as patience, perseverance, and a sense of moral responsibility.
Each lesson concludes with a simple assessment designed to measure comprehension, encourage critical thinking, and promote practical application through carefully selected questions and activities. In addition, each unit ends with an educational Islamic story—drawn from the Seerah or Islamic history—that embodies one of the key Islamic values, reinforcing the concepts in the learner’s mind through a purposeful narrative approach.
