
Tajweed Rules of the Qur'an: Part 1 أحكام تجويد القرآن

This book is the 1st part of a three-part series in English on the tajweed rules on Quran. This book acts as a guide for non-Arabs with a good grasp of English for studying tajweed of the Quran. It explains the articulation points of the Arabic letters, the rules of meem saakinah, noon saakinah , and lam saakinah . It also explains all of the different lengths (mudood ) and the formation of voweled, and non-voweled letters. Moreover, there is an explanation on the concept and execution of qalqalah (or the qalqalah mechanism) in the last chapter of this book. The author has introduced the terms in Arabic, then translated them into English. Explanations are in English with integration of Arabic terms.
Students of Qur’an cannot learn tajweed simply by studying this book. They can properly learn the Qur’anic recitation by listening to a qualified Qur'an teacher recite, then reciting to them and receiving corrections from the teacher.
