Islamic Studies Level 7 (book from Weekend Learning Series), written by Mansur Ahmad and Husain A. Nuri, is basically for 11-14-year-old children who have completed the 6th level in this series. This text is intended for students in the seventh year of formal Islamic class.
Having developed a complete Islamic studies curriculum, the authors have moved on to introduce additional new topics in greater depth in this book. They discuss several important topics that they did not cover in previous books such as: Islamic Greetings, Istighfar, Guarding our Tongues, Amr Bil Ma’ruf, Lailatul Qadr, Life & Activities of the Prophets, Permitted & Prohibited in Islam, and so forth. They have also provided additional details about the lives of Adam عليه السلام, Lut عليه السلام, Ibrahim عليه السلام, and Yusuf عليه السلام, along with special emphasis on the moral lessons to be dervied from their lives. Further, they discuss the stories of the Companions of Cave and Dhul-Qurnain based on information from The Holy Qur’an. Furthermore, they discuss the life and activities of Abu Sufyan and Khalid and why they opposed the Prophetﷺ. Lessons on Islamic values and morals are interspersed throughout the text.
