Islamic Studies Level 5 (book from Weekend Learning Series), written by Mansur Ahmad and Husain A. Nuri, is basically for the 9-12-year-old children who have completed the 4th level in this series. Students in fifth grade, ages 9-12, are intended to study this text in a formal Islamic class.
The authors have thematically presented all lessons in distinct units as well as in greater detail. Learning about Allah as well as the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammadﷺ is an important focus of this entire series. The first few chapters in this book focuses on Allah and His message. The second chapter explains why we should worship Allah. The fourth chapter discusses the universal message and preaching methods of the Prophets and removes mistruths and misconceptions about them. Unit 2 provides details about the important battles as well as their impact on the early history of Islam. Unit 3 discusses some significant histories of the Prophets. The authors have also discussed some age-appropriate ethical issues. Furthermore, Unit 5 teaches students to take a closer look at some Islamic values and teachings and encourages them to live out these values.
